We are looking for someone who wants to take a central role in leading and coordinating a very significant potential establishment for Avesta. Your work will strengthen Avesta Municipality's place brand and contribute to results that are felt far beyond the municipal borders. About the role

As an establishment strategist, you are responsible for keeping the establishment process together and ensuring that it moves forward with quality, structure, and a high level of service. You lead and follow up on the work, assist the management in preparing decision materials, coordinate relevant functions, and ensure that the municipality acts uniformly and achieves common goals.

In this role, you will be the municipality's primary contact point towards the company and other actors and partners involved in the establishment. You will also be a guide who directs the company to the right actors within the municipality, ensuring that the establishment process moves forward smoothly.

Your assignment also includes developing and strengthening Avesta's place brand. You represent Avesta Municipality in various contexts, actively participate and contribute in various collaboration forums to develop and strengthen the image of Avesta. The communicative perspective will be important for succeeding in the assignment. With the support of our communication function, you will be responsible for communicating the establishment work and the place brand both internally and externally. An important aspect of this role is also to monitor the external environment and translate new insights into learning and development within the organization.

The position is organizationally placed in the municipal office. You work on behalf of the municipal director and closely with the chair of the municipal council.

Formal qualifications

• Academic education in, for example, urban planning or communication, or other education and experience that is deemed equivalent to the requirements for the role.
• Experience in leading complex and cross-sectoral projects, preferably within the public sector.
• Experience in press and media management as well as communication in digital and social channels.
• Experience in strategic collaboration with internal and external actors.

In this role, it is important that you have a good understanding of larger establishment processes and municipal decision-making paths. You express yourself well in both Swedish and English and are comfortable in situations where you are in the spotlight – whether it is meeting the media, giving presentations, or representing the municipality in external forums. It is an advantage if you have worked closely with political leadership or in the intersection between politics, business, and public administration.

For the assignment, it is required that you have good digital competence and are accustomed to working with social media and various digital platforms and tools.
